Mid Doors Smoke

Controlling mid is something T-side needs to do in almost every round. One of the easiest ways to make that push safer is by smoking off the double doors. You can throw this one straight from T spawn. It blocks vision reliably and also stops CTs from sneaking into lower tunnels unseen.

Long Smoke

After taking long, your next step is planting on A. To do that safely, smoke off the CT path from long. This throw can be done while you’re taking long and from a safe spot. Just line yourself up in the corner, walk forward a few steps, then jump-throw.

Car Molotov

Pair the long smoke with this molly. It clears out the classic “car” angle where defenders love to hide. Throw it from the same position by jumping onto the barrel, aiming near the door area, and doing a jump-throw. Simple but super effective.

CT Spawn Smoke

Want to split mid to B? You’ll need to block vision from CT spawn first. For this, crouch in the corner next to the mid box, aim just beside the nails, stand up, and jump-throw. It’ll land perfectly to cut off CTs rotating from A.

Mid Flash

This flash works great with the mid smoke above. It pops right in the face of players watching from B but doesn’t blind your teammates going through doors. It also has a nice delay, giving your team time to push out right after it explodes.

Window Smoke (B Site)

If you’re hitting B from upper tunnels, you’ll want two smokes: one for the window, one for the doors. For the window smoke, stand near the tunnel entrance, aim at a spot on the wall, and jump-throw. It’ll bounce perfectly into window, making the retake harder for CTs.

Door Smoke (B Site)

This one’s super easy and super effective. Stand next to the pillar in tunnels, aim through the hole in the roof, and just throw. The smoke flies right through the opening and lands in the B doors, blocking CT vision.

Short Smoke (CT Side)

This is a great defensive smoke for A players. Toss it from behind cover, and it’ll completely block the short push onto A. It’s an easy way to slow down or stop a quick rush.

CT Side: Back Plat Molly (B Retake)

Retaking B is always tough, especially when it’s smoked off. But that can actually work in your favor. Stand by the wall, aim through the small window, and do a normal throw. The fire lands deep in the back platform, burning anyone hiding behind boxes.

CT Side: Upper Tunnels Exit Smoke

This smoke pairs great with a molly and flash to retake or push into B. It blocks the exit from upper tunnels, and right after, you can throw a flash using a jump-throw with both mouse buttons. Combine these three — smoke, molly, flash — and you’ll throw B site into chaos.

Dust 2 doesn’t have a ton of crazy lineups, but learning just the basics can make your attack rounds way easier. Oh, and don’t miss our guide for the best Mirage grenades in Counter-Strike 2 — another classic map that everyone plays!
